manager can return to his position if you are the suitable applicant!As a result,
don't be afraid of interviews. The interviewer does not wish to cause you any
difficulties. They actually want for you to succeed. When nerves rear their
ugly heads, keep that in mind.
An
interview is not a test
Part of what makes us uncomfortable about interviews, as
witnessed during interview prep and resume help, is the feeling that we
are being tested and will either pass or fail. We are looking for a job and are
concerned that we will be turned down.
However, if you conceive of the interview as a time for you
to decide whether the position is a good fit for you and for the employer to do
the same, you can relieve a lot of stress.
There will be many jobs available that are not suitable for
you. The hours aren't going to work out. The placement will be inconvenient.
The industry will not be in order. The responsibilities of the work will be
unsuitable for you.There are also many jobs for which you will be unsuitable.
You won't have the necessary skills, or your personality won't fit into the
culture, or any number of other factors.When this happens, it's not a
reflection on you—none of us can be a great match for every job or company—it
just indicates it wasn't the appropriate opportunity for you.When you treat
each interview as an opportunity for both parties to judge the fit, you'll feel
a lot less pressure and be far more likely to create a positive impression.
